A patriot and soldier who sold his business to equip 55 people to fight in the Texas revolution. He was a key leader and general in the Texas army and an important figure afterwards. He also served in the Texas house of represenatives.

The father of modern Texas. Austin was instrumental to bringing 300 families to settle the region from the United States in 1825. He was later imprisoned in Mexico City with no charges filed against him. He was suspected of pushing for the independence of Texas. He was freed in 1835 and returned to Texas. He also served as secretary of state for the Republic of Texas shortly before his death.

The first vice president of the republic of Texas. Lorenzo was sent as one of the peace commissioners with Santa Anna to convince Mexican authorities of the indepedence of Texas. Due to failing health and a later boating accident, he had to give up his governmental affairs and died of Pneumonia two years later.
