Sony Working on 102mp Camera? A7SIII not going to launch until the fall

Sony seems to be working on a 102 mp sensor for a stills camera. It also has said that the much anticipated A7SIII would not be launched until at earliest Fall of 2019. Although this may be disappointing to Sony Fans, the news of the 102mp sensor should be enough good news and excitement to keep us wondering what Sony has under the hood. I, myself, don't have much use for a 100mp Camera but for those people who really want that detail, I think it will be a big boost to them.

Tamron to make native lenses for Nikon and Canon Mirrorless, Nikon to launch Mirrorless Camera above the Z7

03/20/2019

It was reported today that Tamron is thinking about making lenses that are native to the Canon and Nikon Mirrorless mounts. They are deciding on whether to do so or not or just adapt the Sony FE lenses. I really hope they choose to make the native lenses as the adapted lenses are just not as good in many cases.

Nikon also announced that there will be a Z camera above the Z7, most likely a mirrorless version of the D5 to compete with the Sony A9.

Nikon has plans for a DX version of its mirrorless line

Nikon has leaked that it has a plan for a DX version of its mirrorless camera coming out later in 2019. I think this is a good idea for Nikon since DX is where most people start to get into the photography market and having an entry-level mirrorless to get people on board to the Z-mount is a very good idea. They should also make a few cheap kit lenses to get people hooked before trying to move them over to the more expensive FX glass as well.

Canon has revealed that it has a 70mp camera in its line-up for the premium end of its Full-frame mirrorless cameras. This Camera will probably ship in the later half of 2019 and may also have 8k abilities, therefore making the leap over both Nikon and Sony in terms of video ability.

Nikon Z5 to launch this year, a $1300 Camera from Nikon?

03/05/2019

The Nikon Z5 Camera is Set to Launch later this year and will rival the Canon EOS RP in the cheap Full Frame Mirrorless Market. The Camera is expected to be around $1300 and be full-frame while having slower Burst shooting, less weather sealing, and other features that appear in higher end models. Hopefully they add a flippy screen to this camera because many lower-end DSLR's have it and I find it more useful than many other features on Cameras. Along with the cheaper camera, Nikon has announced a cheaper lens line to go with it.

Iphone XR Camera Review

01/16/2019
Categories:
I took my new Iphone XR to different places to shoot different shots under different conditions to see how good the camera is and how much of an upgrade it is over my Iphone 5. I was pleasantly surprised. Although, it cannot match the performance of my actual camera as it doesn't have the image stabilization, high ISO performance, or detail but most people will not be able to tell under most conditions. Overall I'd give it a 7 out of 10 as it does represent a good combination of size and portability. However the $1000 price makes it more expensive than almost all lower level APS-C cameras and I could buy a point and shoot which would take superior photos and still have $500 left over for a decent phone so I can't rate it any higher.

Sharp to debut 8k Camera? Iphone 11 rumored to have 3 lenses?

Sharp is rumored to be using Olympus Micro four-thirds sensors in developing a new Camera that shoots 8k. Initial reports are that it will be 8k@30 but the company is said to be trying to break 8k@60 for this new camera. This camera should come in at less than $5000 and should be the only prosumer camera to offer 8k video. The real use is probably cropping and downsizing to 4k and even 1080dp as not many screen actually support 8k right now. The Iphone 11 is rumored to have 3 lenses at the back. I am hoping it'll be a regular lens, a macro lens, and a telephoto lens as that would fill many of my photography needs when I'm not in need to professional results.
