Review: Free graphics editing

I ran across the site Fotojet the other day that had many of the same graphic editing tools as my favorite graphic editing app, Adobe Lightroom, so I decided to check it out. You do have to sign up to apply changes so I just used my FB to give it a go. Algonquin Provincial Park

I journeyed about 3 hours Northeast of Ontario to Algonquin Provincial Park, one of the largest provincial parks in Ontario and the largest one accessible by road. It was cloudy while I was there so I didn't get much of the blue sky but I did get some scenic shots. pond and nature landscape


Cayuhoga Valley

Its been a while since I went anywhere significant, but I finally got back on the road and went to Cayuhoga Valley National park. Its not the most scenic of parks but does have some great waterfalls and hikes.

Too many Urban Pokemon and no Rural Pokemon in Pokemon Go and other complaints

You've surely seen it by now and probably are already playing it. Its the biggest app ever in North America, it is:

Aside from the crappy servers which crash every 10 minutes, this game has a lot going for it and integrates wonderfully with the Google Maps system. However, there are a few major gripes I have with the game.

Moz, Majestic, Ahrefs and real SEO

SEO has been an elusive subject for webmasters for 15+ years now but no one has really figured out how exactly search engines(mainly Google) work. The modern era of SEO began with the penguin and panda updates. These updates hit many webmasters hard and many never fully recovered. Chequamegon National Forest

Over the long weekend, I went north up to Chequamgon National Forest for some nature and photography. It was pretty good. The lake during the day and the stars at night made it worth the while.

I finally got myself to Galena, a quiet scenic town in Northern Illinois, home of president Grant. It is a lovely little place with a great park and river running through it. It has an old down feel. Check out the streets of downtown:

Mississippi Palisades State Park
