Olympus has launched their OM-D M-5 Mark III Camera and its a significant upgrade from their previous version and compares well with the higher line the OM-D M-1 Mark II. With 30fps, 4k video, 6.5 of IS, and other advanced features, it is a small, lightweight camera that would be a great travel compansion.
After almost 4 years, Canon is finally going to come out with the 1DX Mark III professional Camera. It might just be the last of the Canon professional DSLR's. It seems like a good upgrade over the 1DX II with:

But will it be enough to beat out the Nikon D6 and the Sony A9II?
Nikon will release its $8000 F/.95 58mm lens in November. This ultra-fast lens should deliver super-sharp images, but at a huge premium price that may leave many Nikon Fans scratching their head. Because the truth is: who really needs a f/.95 58mm lens. After shooting with the F/1.4 50mm from Nikon and the F/1.2 50mm from Canon, there does't seem to be much of a need for a prime lens of the same zoom that costs $7000 more.
The photography world was taken by surprised by the Sony A9 which far surpassed anyone's expectations. Now, 2.5 years later, the A9II comes out and its....kind of underwhelming. It features the exact same sensor and the same 20fps compressed and 12 fps uncompressed shooting. An improved processor, the same number of AF points and an improved AF algo. However, there isn't enough there to make me want to upgrade over the A9.
The Nikon p1000 has been a joy to own and I've gotten some really awesome photos with it. But now that its over a year old, its time to talk about a possible update that would make me want to upgrade. Yes, I am talking about the Nikon P2000. I really think Nikon should go in a different direction than just extending the lens out to 4000 or something even more ridiculous. I think they should shrink the lens back to 1500mm and go with a bigger sensor to target a different crowd.
Here be explore how the Nikon Coolpix P1000 does for macro compared with a D750 with a Macro lens. The P1000 has 5 stops of IS and lets you get really close to the subject when in Macro mode, but also has the issue of the camera itself casting a shadow on the subject. However, it does let you get extremely close in macro mode to objects many Yards away in a pretend macro mode.
