Nikon has 3 new Z Cameras in 2020, Canon with 2 new R cameras in 2021.

Nikon has three new Cameras coming out in 2020 and Canon is following in 2021 with two new mirrorless cameras. Nikon seems to be getting a low end APS-C out to replace the the D3500 and then a successor to the Z6 and Z7 for their next generation. Canon is going to produce perhaps an update to the cheap RP and a high megapixel count camera.

Magnolia Bluff Hiking adventure

During this lockdown, most state parks in Wisconsin are closed as are many natural areas I like to visit. Magnolia Bluff is one of them county parks that are a gem to go to. With a few miles of hiking trails and a bluff to climb up to get a view of the scenery, its a great place to go until the larger state parks are re-opened.

Hiking at Camrock County Park(State parks closed due to Covid-19)

Since all state parks are closed due to Covid-19, I decided to go hiking and looking for Wildlife at Camrock County Park. Its a wooded park with decently long hiking trails and a river that runs through it. I saw a lot of birds and many turtles sunbathing on logs. For a small county park, it is definately worth the visit, especially since all state park are unfortunately shut down.

Sony to make a Medium Format Camera?

Sony has come up with a medium format Camera patent with a curved sensor to make the camera and lens size smaller. It is only a patent right now so we do not know when it will come into production. Hopefully, the curved sensor will not make the Camera cost more than other medium format cameras, which are already very expensive.

Canon R5, R6 Camera delayed until at least July

Canon's much anticipated R5 and R6 Cameras will be delayed until at least July due to manufacturing disruptions in both Japan and China because of COVID-19. The delays come as no surprise as the virus has halted businesses worldwide. Even when they are available, the quantities will be small.

Nikon D6 schedule for May shipping --- In Canada

The much anticipated Nilon D6 is scheduled for shipping in Canada in May. This is about a month delay from the original schedule but considering the Corona Virus situation, its really not that bad at all.

Samsung is making a 600mp sensor

Samsung is making a 600mp sensor for its phone. No, that does not mean you phone photos are going to be 600mp, its probably like 40 pixel to one readout, meaning your actual photos will be around 15mp or so. This new technology could, however, mean greater details in photos and get closer to competing with real cameras

New Canon r5 specs out

The year's most anticipated Camera, the Canon R5 released more specs. The specs are mainly for video which does not excite me that much because as a Youtube video maker, all I need is 1080 at 60fps. I have no use for 8k or even 4k, but professional movie makers are going to like it.

Apple releases single Camera Iphone SE for $400

Apple has released a single camera Iphone called the Iphone SE with its latest chip but 1 12mp camera lens for $400. You can still get great photos with this cheap phone and its a bit smaller than the other models as well. This will be a welcome for those who don't want to spend their entire $1200 stimulus check on the Iphone 11 pro.

Yongnou 50mm 1.8 coming out for Sony APS-C

The Yongnou 50mm 1.8 lens is coming out soon for Sony APS-C Camera, making it a 75mm FF equivalent. Yongnou 50mm lenses are known to be cheap and fast. Having shot with the 50mm Yongnou Lens on Nikon F-mount for years, it is one of my most used lenses and one of the best bang for buck lenses. For you need a cheap lens for indoor shooting, this is the one for you.
