I went fishing under Boone Bridge for 2 days again. I wanted to originally fish at the tip of the Wing Dike but it had too much wood on it for me to get past so I just used my big poles to launch as far as I could into the river. The blue catfish were still active.
I went to fish the Maunesha River Today at Marshall Millpond. Its a shallow millpond that is stacked with Catfish, and stocked with Walleye and other fish. Had a really good session. Although I did not catch a toothy fish, I did indeed catch many Catfish.
I went to an old spot I never had much luck at, the boat ramp near Fort Atkinson, in order to fish. I was really hoping for flathead catfish but ended up getting a few huge Carps with worms on the Boat Ramp.
I went back to the beach at Newport to fish for Muskie and Flathead. The Muskie didn't seem to be biting that day but the flatheads were still on. In the end, I did get 3 flatheads but missed out on two other bites.
Went to fish the Salmon Run in Milwaukee and it was good. So many Salmon in the rivers going to spawn right now. Fishing for them in 1 ft of water, we snagged more than we caught but there were plenty of good fish.
Went to Warner Park on Tuesday night and threw dead shiners. Seems like the smallmouth as back and biting and for the first time this year, the big catfish are biting s well. Looks like all is back to normal at Warner.
