On the way back from Texas, I stopped in popular Bluff, MO to fish for some big fish and although the water was freezing and I failed to catch a giant, I still managed 5 fish in the frigid water.
After several failed fishing trips around San Antonio, Texas, I finally headed to the middle part of the Guadalupe River. The park had only 1 or 2 fishing spots so I set up on a steep bank. There was a non-stop bite of suckers and catfish.
I went to Boone Bridge again on the Missouri to try my luck at Winter Fishing and luck was with me as I only got 1 solid bite. That bite however was a Mighty Blue weighing in at 36.8 lbs.
I went to lower Meramec Park at the end of December to see if I could get my hands on a Mighty Blue Catfish. I got several drum as bait and as luck would soon have it, after years of chasing one, I finally got my hands on a 38.5lb Blue Catfish.
