Modena, Italy. The Giardino Ducale Estense park fills the center of the frame, its broad central lawn and cross-shaped gravel paths framed by dense mature trees. At the far end of the garden stands the Palazzina Vigarani, a compact classical pavilion with a central clock tower, built in the 17th century as a court retreat. The park sits within the historic center, surrounded by terracotta rooftops and a mix of classical and modern buildings that stretch to the horizon under a clear summer sky. The aerial perspective reveals the formal geometry of the garden layout against the organic canopy of the surrounding woodland, capturing the contrast between planned green space and the dense urban fabric of the city. The scene is bathed in bright midday sunlight, with deep green foliage and warm earth tones dominating the palette. The garden originated in the late 16th century as private ducal grounds and opened to the public in the 19th century, retaining its Baroque axial design.
