Helsinki, Finland. Helsinki Cathedral dominates the northern edge of Senate Square, its white neoclassical facade and tall green central dome visible from an elevated aerial perspective that sweeps across the historic city center. The cathedral was designed by Carl Ludvig Engel in a Greek cross plan with Corinthian columns and four smaller corner domes, completed in 1852 after more than three decades of construction. The surrounding Empire-style ensemble includes uniform yellow and white buildings, a spacious cobblestone plaza, and tree-lined streets that extend toward the harbor and Baltic Sea. The scene is captured in bright summer daylight with clear skies, the camera orbiting and pulling back to reveal the geometric grid of the old town, green parks, and the waterfront.
