Best Places to find free stock photos

Even though I run a free stock photo site, I do use other resources a lot. This site is specialized and focuses on detailed photo documentation of specific places within a state or country listed by location and animals and plants by species. But since its impossible for me to travel to everywhere in the world, sometimes I have to use photos from other places. Here are the best places I've found to get photos.

1. Good Free Photos -- If you looking for a lot of photos from 1 specific location, this is the right place. Or if you just want scenic photos of anything or a certain type of animal or plant, this is also a good place. I've obviously used thousands of photos from this gallery All photos are in high resolution.

2. Pixabay -- Pixabay is a great place to find photos and has hundreds of thousands of photos. All are public domain.

3. Morguefile -- Morguefile is a old repository of tons of photos. Quality varies but there are many gems in there.

4. Pdphoto.org -- Pdphoto.org is an old site that hasn't been updated in a while but still has a treasure trove of travel photos.

5. Publicdomainpictures.net -- This place has tens of thousands of public domain photos for you to use.

Note that I don't really use flikr or wiki commons that much. Flikr's photos aren't public domain(majority of them aren't) and since Yahoo bought it, I just found it getting harder and harder to use. Wiki Commons is great but there too much stuff on there to sort through and the search function isn't all that great. Also not all the images on wiki commons are public domain. I also don't really see that much use in all these 3rd-party flikr search engines that have popped up, they to me are just copies of the official CC search engine that aren't quite as good. Stock Exchange's licensing restrictions prevents me from using them much either.
