Kodak issues new Cryptocurrency, is this a scam or a joke?

So, Kodak's stock went up lately because they announced that they are going to issue their own Cryptocurrency. I feel like there's definate insider trading going on in this one as many on their board quickly cashed out after the gain. I don't believe in this coin and the platform at all.
