Too many Urban Pokemon and no Rural Pokemon in Pokemon Go and other complaints

You've surely seen it by now and probably are already playing it. Its the biggest app ever in North America, it is:

Aside from the crappy servers which crash every 10 minutes, this game has a lot going for it and integrates wonderfully with the Google Maps system. However, there are a few major gripes I have with the game.

The first is that there are far too many Urban Pokemon and not enough rural Pokemon. I mean come on guys, Pokemon are wild animals. When one spawns it says "a wild something has appeared", not "a domesticated something has appeared". Wild animals should spawn in wild places, they shouldn't all spawn in the downtown area of cities and heavily populated areas. You do need spawns in populated areas to keep people interested though. But to make it more realistic, the only Pokemon that should spawn in cities and populated areas are Rats(Rattata), Pigeons(Pidgey), Roaches(not sure what Pokemon), a few rabbits and maybe a deer Pokemon or two in woody areas. There should be more Pokemon spawns in wilderness areas like State Parks, National Parks, National forests and such because that is where all the wildlife actually is. So the perfect format would be common Pokemon like Rats and Pigeon in Urban spots and much rarer rural Pokemon in Rural spots. Ancient, non-legendary Pokemon like Aerodactyl should not spawn in populated areas(I mean come on, we all know pterodactyls naturally prefer high cliff or mountain roosts) but should be a rare spawn at the top of mountains like the Rockies or the Sierra Nevadas. That would make it more fun and a great reward for climbing for hours to get a rare Pokemon. And for those of you weaklings who think that is too much of a challenge -- You gotta give it all if you want to catch'em all, otherwise be satisfied with your Pathetic common Pokemon. You could also hatch them from eggs, although I think Pokestops in remote places like state highpoints should give a higher chance of giving you 10km eggs.

The other major gripe is this walking to hatch system. I've already established that the cut-off for what counts as "walking" is less than 10mph, probably more in the 7-8 mph range as my biking around for Pokemon does not hatch eggs. This speed limit seriously needs to be raised as I cannot even hatch Pokemon if I'm running quickly. It is easy to go faster than 7-8mph during a brisk run and any decent athlete would not be able to hatch his eggs during a fast run. This is wrong. I believe that the limit should be around 15mph if you are trying to prevent eggs from hatching while driving. 15mph is probably faster than 99% of people can run and while you could drive at 15mph -- but seriously, who does that?

Overall, I think this is a great game with lots of potential. As soon as they fix the server and implement a few more changes and add in some social features, this could be the game of the decade and a keeper for years to come.
