Two Guns, Arizona, is a former Route 66 tourist stop overlooking Canyon Diablo that evolved from a frontier crossing into a roadside attraction in the 1920s, complete with a zoo, trading post, and the notorious “death cave.” Disputes, fires, and the realignment of Route 66 led to its decline, and by the 1970s the site was largely abandoned. Today, scattered ruins and the nearby Canyon Diablo Bridge reflect the layered history and legends of this desert ghost town.
