Virginia is known as the "first dominion" for being the first British possession in mainland North America and also the birthplace of eight presidents. It also has a wide variety of landscapes from Chesapeake Bay to the Blue Ridge Mountains and houses have historical parks as well as Shenandoah National Park and the northern part of the Blue Ridge Parkway.
