Nikon Rumors had an article today about new Nikon products slated for 2020. It seems that the D6 is going to be arriving in January, a few months earlier than I had expected. They are looking for replacements for the D850, D750, D500 and D7500 as well. I expect only the D750 will have a DSLR replacement and the rest will be mirrorless. As for their Mirrorless APS-C line, they will have two more lines, one above the Z50 and one below the Z-50.
It came as a shock to me that Nikon stopped their pre-orders of the NOCT F/.95 lens because there had been too many ordered. I thought no one should lay down the $8000 for a 54mm lens when an f/1.2 or even F/1.4 would easily do the trick. After all, only Leica owners would lay down such a crazy price for a 54mm lens right? No! I was wrong. Which leaves me bewildered and disappointed in humanity.
The DJI Mavic Mini in on pre-order now at BH Video and clocks in at $400, about 1/3 of the price of a mavic pro. This drone has 30 minutes of flight time and a 12mp camera to boot allowing you to take overhead shots at a low cost.
Sony has had a great week of news. First its RX10 IV is getting animal eye-AF. This camera was built to shoot wildlife and getting animal eye-AF is a big upgrade. ANd second, Tamron has said it has six new FE lenses in its roadmap. Could a hyper-zoom lens be in the works?
Third party lenses have finally start to come for the Canon R mount. Rokinon/Samyang has finally release a 14mm F/2.8 wide angle AF lens for Canon R. This is surprising because usually Rokinon/Samyang lenses are manual only but it looks like they went the extra mile for this lens.
Canon has launched two new RF lenses. The f/2.8 70-200mm zoom and the f/1.2 85mm prime lens. These lenses are priced at $2699 and $2999 respectively which is several hundreds dollars more expensive than their EF counterparts even if you buy the EF to RF adapter. But that is the price you pay for premium lenses. I'd probably just wait for the Tamron or Sigma versions myself.

Sony is getting four new FE lenses from 3rd party Tamron, which is great news because these lenses usually are cheaper than the lenses from Sony and are high quality lenses. The lenses focus mainly on the wide-angle category but Sony still lacks a cheap 3rd-party zoom lens.
