Macro image of gibbsite accompanied by chalcedony, goethite, and jarosite, sourced from the Copper Mountain district in Utah, United States, captured through a microscope objective at 2.4× magnification with a field of view of 15 mm. The gibbsite appears as white to pale gray granular and fibrous aggregates with vitreous to dull luster, formed during supergene alteration of aluminum-bearing minerals. Chalcedony occurs as bluish-green microcrystalline bands with fibrous texture, goethite as brownish-yellow coatings on grain boundaries, and jarosite as fine yellow-orange crystalline crusts. Surface is naturally developed by geological processes, showing no artificial modification. Lighting is even and directional, enhancing contrast between phases and revealing micro-topography without artificial enhancement. No digital filters or compositing were applied. This documentation serves as a source of scientific knowledge for the study of secondary mineral assemblages in oxidized copper deposits and the textural relationships among hydrous oxides, sulfates, and silicates. It supports educational materials in economic geology and mineral identification for visual analysis of habit, color, and association. Used in university-level courses for the study of weathering profiles, supergene enrichment, and non-destructive microstructural assessment. Such imagery aids in understanding the dynamics of the living world of Earth through surficial transformations that convert primary sulfides into economically relevant oxide and sulfate minerals. Through precise observation, this work reinforces empirical methods in earth science research and encourages deeper engagement with the structural and compositional diversity of planetary materials. The image reflects principles of documenting geological specimens without interference, supporting public education about mineral formation and the importance of conserving scientifically significant localities
