Hot Springs
The Texas road trip has begun!! Just visited Hot Springs, Arkansas and Hot Springs National Park. It was a gloomy day so the scenes weren't the best but I still got some shots like this road to the mountain:

Snow and Ice
The first big chill has hit Madison and the Lakes have frozen over solid. Although I can't go many places during the winter, its still quite beautiful, especially during the sunet.

Babler Memorial Park
Went to Babler State Park in Missouri today. It might have been good during the autumn, but there was really nothing there right now. The only good photo being of the memorial itself. Oh well maybe next time.

Shabbona Lake State Park
One of the first true winter visits this year was to Shabbona Lake State Park . A lot of the park was closed due to hunting season(boo). But some of the scenery was still there to see. The lake was just starting to ice over so it was pretty nice.

Illinois Beach State Park
While heading home from Chicago, I stopped by at Illinois Beach State Park. Very vew people there as the weather is around freezing but there were some good waves on the lake.

Roche-A-Cri State Park
Despite below freezing weather today, I went out to Roche-A-Cri State park to catch some last glimpses of the Autumn forest before Wisconsin heads into the deep winter slumber. I caught some good shots around the park and great shots of the sunset atop the bluff. The staircase up to the top was actually very pretty:

Indian Lake County Park
I wanted to go to a state park about an hour and 45 minutes away today but time would not allow for such so I went to a nearby county park today. It was really windy which makes HDR a bit harder. The scenery was nice but I didn't have time to stay and catch the sunset. I always take a picture of the hiking path if I can, here is the one from Indian Lake County Park.
Wildcat Mountain
To see more of the Autumn forest and hills, I drove to Wildcat Mountain State Park today. It was a great trip with a beautiful drive to and into the park and great views and hikes inside the park. It was cold and I didn't have that much time so I only hiked a little bit of the trail, but enough to get great shots. I loved this view of the forest: (...)
