Sunset at Wyalusing

Went back to one of the most beautiful places in Wisconsin -- The cliffs of Wyalusing State Park last week and it was great. Using longer exposures and other techniques, I was able to photograph the Mississippi River Valley at Dusk:

As well as get great sun shots like this:

Starry Landscape at Devil's Lake

Went to Devil's Lake again tonight. It was completely clear and the sky was full of stars. The trees and lake made great night objects to place the stars against:

Loved this shot. Found a decent way to deal with noise at high ISO but still hoping to get a Canon 5d (...)

Wildcat Mountain Night Photos

Went to Wildcat Mountain for the first time in two years again for some dusk and night photos. The stars were pretty good:

Starry Skies

There's still a lot of noise in the night photos. The T2i doesn't work well at high ISOs. Need a MK3, but can't afford the $2500 and another $800 for a lens. I did get a (...)

Garden of the Gods

My last stop in the state of Colorado was Garden of the Gods near Colorado Springs, Colorado. The rock structures were great in the garden and the overall landscape was very beautiful. Its also free(I think, didn't see a ticket booth).

By the ways, this place is now called "Garden of the Bobs" (...)

Pikes Peak

The first part of the Nexy Day's Journey brought me to Pike's Peak. The hike is 13 miles one-way and I didn't have 2 days to blow unfortunately so I had to settle for the drive. However, my car overheated because of the high grade and I had to walk the last bit to the top of the Peak. However, the view was great:

After Mount Elbert, I went to Rocky Mountains National Park . I went in by the way of Grand Lake and explore the segment of the park up to Estes Park, spending ample time both in the lower regions as well in the high Alpine Regions. The alpine regions were fantastic:

The third day of the road trip was the highlight of the trip as I claimed Colorado at the highest point in the rockies at Mount Elbert.

With this I have claimed all the Colorado Rockies, this state now belongs to me. The scenery at the top was (...)

The 2nd day of the trip saw me summit and claim Nebraska at Panorama Point. At 5429 Feet, it is a slight rise in the farmlands of western Nebraska on the Border with both Colorado and Wyoming.

I claim Nebraska (...)

The Beginning of my road trip had me a Hawkeye Point, the high point of Iowa. I had to go there to claim the State Of Iowa for myself.

Madison to Minneapolis Biking Trip

Finally did my first multi-day biking trip from Madison to Minneapolis, a total of almost 600 miles in 6 days averaging 97 miles a day. Biking along the trail and then along the MRT(Mississippi River Trail), which follows highway 61 to Minneapolis was quite an experience. Dehydration, heat exhaustion, soreness were all problems, but in the end, I was victorious!! My favorite shots where this picture of the city of St. Paul at Dusk:
